Our New Teacher Coaching service is based on two key beliefs. First, every student deserves great instruction every year. Second, teaching is incredibly hard, and new teachers often need more support than their schools are able to give. We’ve designed our high-impact coaching model to promote rapid teacher development so that students can thrive.
We focuses on creating rapid growth in new teachers’ classrooms by partnering with them to meet them where they are and support them in building their skillset. Each teacher receives an introductory call, weekly observations and debriefs, and a toolkit of strategies for improving his or her practice beyond the coaching work. Additionally, all new teachers receiving coaching receive free access to our online New Teacher PD.
Though we start at the level of the teacher, we generally focus on one of the following core skills in the first round of coaching: setting clear expectations, creating a strong start to class, and increasing students’ time on task.
